Hygiene Workshops at Oloolmongi

AKTF and Africa Mission Services partnered with specialists from Nairobi with an aim to improve Child Health and Education amongst School-going Children. They conducted a deworming exercise at Oloolomongi Primary in Masai-Mara. “intestinal helminths are particularly prevalent among school-aged Children and have a negative impact on their education hindering their development as well as school attendance” Dr.Eva highlighted.
An eye- check up exercise was also carried out by Dr. Wachira- an ophthalmologist in Kenya. “Children’s eyes are affected by smoke in their homes, causing itchiness. When they rub with dirty hands, they risk their eyesight and infections” Dr. Wachira said. AKTF works to create a better future for local communities and wildlife, so both can cohabit.
