Hyenas in Boots

“Boots on the ground” can have its challenges, other than the obvious! The team left their boots outside their tents for a short time whilst they went to eat dinner (and have been “reprimanded” accordingly!). Hyenas visited and took/ate(?) one boot from each pair, never to be seen again! This was two days before they were due to set off with Jim Justus Nyamu on the long “Ivory Belongs to Elephants” walk across the Mara. A lot of scurrying had to be done to find new boots! I expect the hyenas have indigestion – I hope so anyway so that they will not be tempted to do that again!
