Giraffe Snares Removed at the Tanzania Border

Today AKTF team & the mara Conservancy rangers (Oloololo team) managed to remove 6 big wire snares that were already set high on top of the acacia trees. The poachers were targeting the giraffes for bush meat. However,no giraffe was cought in them. The Iseyia team managed to arrest 2 poachers in another area few kilometres away from that area that we patrolled. It seems that the demand for bush meat is increasing across the border.
